13 Seçici Kurul Özgeçmiş / Selective Board Biography LEVENT ÇALIKOĞLU (1971, Istanbul) He graduated from the Department of Art History in the Faculty of Language, History and Geography of Ankara University. He achieved his M.A. degree in Museum Studies Department of Yıldız Technical University. He worked as a lecturer in Art Management Department in the Faculty of Art and Design in the same university. He is the art consultant of Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı Founda- tion. In addition to Modern Art Conversations, he published many articles on modern Turkish art. Some national and international organisations which he was the curator are Istanbul Modern Art Museum, Akbank Culture and Art Centre, Space Triangle Gallery (London), Martin Gropius Bau (Berlin), Seoul Art Museum (South Korea), Opposite Art Works, National Reassurance Art Gallery and many others since 1998. He is still the Director and Chief Curator of Istanbul Modern Art Museum. ASSOC. PROF. MÜRTEZA FİDAN (1963, Bayburt) He started to work as a research assistant in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Marmara University in 1988. He worked with Prof. Emilio Vedona in Salzburg Summer Academy in 1988 by having the Austrian state scholarship. He achieved his M.A. degree in the Institute of Social Sciences in 1989 and the doctorate in 1993 in Marmara University. He became an associate professor in 1994. He held eight personal exhibitions and one of them was in abroad and he took place in domestic and international group exhibitions. He was the curator of activities like 2007 Siemens Art, 2006 “Ambivalans”, 1996 Youth Activity, UPSD. 54th State Painting Sculpture First Prize, Esbank Painting First Prize are just two of his many awards. He is working as a lecturer in the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Marmara University. PROF. AYŞE SİBEL KEDİK (1967, Ankara) She graduated from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature in the Faculty of Language, History and Geography of Ankara University in 1989. She completed the B.A degree in 1994 in the Department of Sculpture of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the M.A. in 1996 and the Proficiency in Art in 2003 in Hacettepe University. She was the associate professor in 2010. She was given the “Artist of the Year worth to Mention” of the Art Institution in 1995 and 2008 and many other promotions in 1998-99. In addition to her personal exhibitions, she participated in many national and international exhibitions, bienals and workshops and she made monumental sculptures in international applied symposiums. She works as a lecturer in the Department of Sculpture in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Haccettepe University. DİLEK KARAAZİZ ŞENER (1969 Nicosia - Cyprus) She graduated from the Department of Art History in the Faculty of Language, History and Geography of Ankara University in 1992. She obtained her M.A degree in 1997 and doctorate in 2011 in the Institute of Social Sciences of Ankara University. Her article were published in Milliyet Art, Milliyet, E Journal, Ankara Magazine, Milliyet (Guide) and Radikal Daily, Rh+ Art Magazine since 2000. She has been in the management of Hacettepe Art Museum of Hacettepe University since 2005 and she is the deputy director of the Museum. She was the associate curator of the “Little Black Fish” exhibition within the framework of Istanbul Cultural Capital activities in 2010. She gives lectures in Hacettepe University’s Faculty of Fine Arts on art history, aesthetic and art philosophy, modern art and mythology. She is the art consultant of Halkbank since 2005. She was the project coordinator and the curator of the exhibition “How should a war be remembered?” She was assigned as the exhibition – arrangement project manager of Dr. Fazıl Küçük Museum by the Assembly of North Cyprus in 2015. She completed the project in 2015. Her articles are published in Rh+ Art Magazine and Yenidüzen Daily. PROF. DR. TANSEL TÜRKDOĞAN (1966, Antakya) He was graduated from the Department of Painting-Work in the Gazi Faculty of Education in Gazi University in 1987. He obtained his M.A. degree in 1989 and Proficiency in Art in 1993 from the Institute of Social Sciences of Hacettepe University. He had worked as a research assistant and lecturer in METU since 1989. He became associate professor in 1998 and he was assigned as the chairperson of the Department of Fine Arts and Music of METU in 2000. He became professor in 2004. He was assigned as the founding dean of the Gazi University, Faculty of Fine Arts and he continued in this office until August 2008. He is the author of books like “Contemporary Art”, “Art – Culture – Politics” and he held 22 personal exhibitions (3 of them in other countries) up to date and he participated in many national and international symposiums, bienals, projects with his communiqués. He was the consultant of TRT and UNESCO UPSD executive board. He was given an award and wrote articles in newspapers and art magazines. He is one of the Corridor artists. Türkdoğan still gives lectures in fine art faculties of METU and Gazi University.
