6 Önsöz / Foreword “Young Art: 3rd Current Art Project Competition” was organized by our General Directorate in order to support current art and artists in our country, discover young artists, increase innovative productions and ensure that these works are followed by broad masses. As the interest in current art approaches in our country is becoming increasingly important, we believe that the addition of new contest exhibitions such as “Current Art Competition” and “Poster Design Competition” within the scope of “Young Art” into the contest exhibitions organized in the field of plastic arts and Turkish Decorative Arts by our General Directorate will be welcomed in order to support the new productions of young artists who make efforts in this field. The increasing interest of our young people in the Current Art Competition is a very promising development in terms of our country, which has high targets in young art productions. As a matter of fact, awareness in the young and dynamic minds, which is the most important value of our country in the field of culture and art production, has become so widespread that it will add strength to the power of our day-by-day progressing country. In this regard, the Current Art Competition strives to become a platform that enables young artists to express themselves freely and produce independently within the context of the theme that is set for young artists.
