96 97 SERGİLEME | EXHIBITION Aykut HIZLIOK (Antalya, 1996) Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi / Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Dokuz Eylül University / Faculty of Fine Arts Seramik Ceramic 60x20x20 cm, 2018 SERGİLEME | EXHIBITION Tuğla malzeme ile anti-formal yaklaşımda, malzemenin müsaade ettiği derecede öngörülebilir, bir bölümü ile kavranabilecek seviyede orijinal uygulamalar üretilmek istenmiştir. Aynı zamanda nesnenin tasarım özünü dönüştürerek güzel sanatların biçim dili ile işlevsiz ve estetik açılardan form araştırmaları uygulanmıştır. Temelde mimarinin bir unsuru olan bu malzeme sanatta da bir temsil aracı olarak ele alınmış ve gündelik veya işlevsel özellikleri üzerinden irdelenmiştir. Oluklu tuğla günümüzde kent gerçekliğini yaratan, yani çevreyi oluşturan, yeryüzü ve gökyüzü arasındaki boşluğu dolduran uzamsal mekânı yaratmaktadır. Bu nedenle tuğla bu gerçekliğin ortaya çıkmasındaki en temel birimdir. Buradan yola çıkarak bir tuğlaya hazır nesne olarak müdahalede bulunmak, temelde bu gerçekliğin özünü yeniden kavramak ve onu yorumlamaktır. In the anti-formal approach with brick material, it is desired to produce original applications in the level that can be understood with some degree, which is allowed by the material. At the same time, by transforming the design material of the object, the form language of the fine arts and the form studies of the dysfunctional and aesthetic aspects have been applied. This material, which is basically an element of the architect, has been considered as a means of representation in art and has been examined through its daily or functional characteristics. Corrugated brick now creates a spatial space that creates the reality of the city, that is, the environment, filling the gap between the earth and sky. For this reason, brick is the most basic unit in the emergence of this reality. From there, going out of the way to intervene as a ready object to a brick is basically to re-understand the nature of this reality and to interpret it.
